Blog
This is my first Blog for over 12 months and I have decided if I keep it short I may well blog more often. This particular Blog has been inspired by the up and coming Evesham Dogs Trust Summer Fun Day which is one of of my favourite events of the year,
Our second special boy is Slim who had a wonderful life in the Shetland Islands with Caron and her husband Andrew. It is Slims picture that you can see on the Blog ~ such a sweet, sensitive and loving boy.
To those of you who are new to the Miss Maggie fund welcome, you are the eyes and ears for the fund ~ please get in touch if you know of any any rescues that could do with a little support for one or more of their oldies.
Angela is not one to break her promise and her book of poems are now in print. Today I received a gift from Angela, yes it is her book of poems the front of which states very clearly "Miss Maggie's Supper Box" A selection of Doggie Poems written by Angela and illustrated by her very talented brother Jamie MacDougall.
Today is Mothering Sunday, I know I am stating the obvious but first of all I would like to say that I understand but cannot feel the pain that this day must bring for Mothers who have lost their children or have been unable to have any and to those who are missing their own mothers.
Walking with George is interesting, he is the strongest dog I have ever had, since we brought him a harness he has been better but he is still hard work.
Over the last few weeks, I have been thinking about things that I would really love to do before shuffling of this mortal coil, please don’t ask me why...
Over the next few weeks I need to get a move on with making items to sell at the events we go to over the summer months to raise funds for Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue.
At the beginning of the week I was thinking about Miss Maggie's Supper box, It's like a pot not reaching the boil on a slow burner, I would love to see more page likes, more participation and more older dogs to help.
In what has been another tumultuous week in politics, I have today been pondering a little ( I must have too much time on my hands) on why people cannot accept that we all have a view, opinions and values.
There is someone else who I think should be top of the class this week, and that is the wonderful Louise and her hubby who offered a foster home to little Sally.
I decided to sign up for the Dogs BFF Award Course (Dogs are our Best Friends) I read the 73 pages of course material in one sitting. I have to say that I was aware of most of the content, but it did do me good to go over it again and relate it to the dogs that I have had the pleasure of sharing my life with....
Miss Maggie’s Supper Box is run entirely by volunteers, including myself, Deborah Mason.
This means that our blog isn’t updated as often as it could be, but please keep an eye open as I post whenever I have the time!
