Funds in rescues are not great at any time but with Covid 19 impacting on all the normal fundraising activities financially it is hard for most rescues to keep afloat therefore we did not hesitate in saying yes we would help with any vet fees that might be needed.
Anyway to cut a long story short Doris arrived and apart from needing love, care and nourishment she had 2 lumps one on her back teat and one on her side near her front leg on her chest. Thankfully these were removed and although the lump on her side was found to be a mast cell tumour the lab stated that the vet had managed to get clear margins. That was good news for all involved.
Miss Maggie sent £350 to help towards the vet fees, we are thankful that another older life had been saved.
