Stella getting ready for care and comfort in her foster home

Stella - This lovely old lady arrived in rescue in the most awful, heart-breaking state. She was seen by the rescues vet who identified the following:-
1. She was chipped. This shows her name is Stella and she was born in 2007.
2. She had very sore skin caused by severe neglect, and lice too,
3. Her mouth was full of rotten teeth and pus. It must be have been agony for her to eat. No wonder she was painfully thin - barely 14 kgs.
4. Stella has many mammary masses. These are very worrying because of the number, positions and sizes.
5. Her bottom lip is missing. This was obviously ripped off - and never treated. Her poor old body is very battered and scarred.

Rupert - Rupert is a white and cream skinny little lurcher (16 kg) and has a poor battle scarred old body. He is not chipped so we aren't totally sure how old he is. The vet aged him as ten plus and found the following:
1. Mouth full of pus and rotten teeth.
2. Large mass in his groin area which needs urgent investigation.
3. Not neutered and only has one descended testicle. This is very worrying due to his age especially.

The vet fees for these 2 badly neglected dogs is going to be at least £3000 Miss Maggie has initially sent £250 but will send more if required .

The good news is that the rescue have found them a foster home close to the vets where they can get the comfort and care so deserved.
